A lone figure gazes at pieces of artwork displayed in a vibrant, yellow, almost ethereal space. The certainty of the setting is further perplexed by the woman’s subtle rejection of expected formality, indicated by the fact that she is barefoot. The parallels the painting draws between the viewer and the subject also questions our relationship with art and the space we inhabit.
